Event pictures
I regret not getting more pictures! I packed everything but extra batteries (for myself AND the camera!) If any picture/caption offends you and you'd like it taken down, please comment below or email letting me know and I'd be happy to remove it. I have print copies of all pictures on CD if you'd like one emailed, just let me know! Sorry about the angle on a few- I tried rotating-and-saving but it changed it back on upload.
Here's our designated quadrant before I got it all set up. I was so lucky nearby campers were willing to help me- I've never set up a tent before in my LIFE!Needless to say, I think I overpacked a smidge...
Here's the track all laid out. Sponsor banners were set up on hurdles.
Here's Dawn hanging out :)
The start to the walk.

A better one of Elaine :)
Most teams dressed alike in matching shirts, or had a team theme. This is Team Safeway (one of many.)
I was surprised how family-oriented this event really was. All ages were welcome and present at all hours.
Haha- cheater!
We were right next to the Dari-Mart team, I think. I fell in love with their cow.
I'm not sure what theme his team was going for, but he sure was cute!
We decorated the outside of our pavillion with Stars and Moons. Even if you weren't here, you really were here in Spirit. Many stopped by to read our cards throughout the day, until we took it down and put it on the back of the tent for airflow.
All of a sudden this really ominous looking cloud started billowing up over the hill. Really random.

The Schwan's tent. Yummy yummy ice creams - this was a real treat.
A kids' jumper in the middle of the track was awesome!!!
Another really awesome idea by the Carnival Cruise Team. Teams were earning money ON the track and actually up through August 31st to count towards their Team total.
Haha I was so tempted to have my aunt jailed just for fun :)(She was on one of the teams located just behind our tent.)

The tents made it look like a small village- just a massive event. There had to have been thousands of people there at any given time.
A really cool team theme-tent. I was severely jealous.
The Springfield and Eugene Police Department walkers did the track in full uniform. Mind you- the heat was horrendous.
Too cute!
They had everything but the pina coladas.
Team Smiley Face sold Chocolate-Covered Strawberries along the track.
Dawn C and her family.
The site at dusk.
The luminarias were unforgettable. Some were absolutely heart-wrenching. Others were inspirational.
The site at 2am was still breathtaking.
